Technology Park & Incubation Centre (Tech-PIC)

EMDI VISITS TECHNOLOGY PARK AND INCUBATION CENTER (TECH-PIC), FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2024

A delegation of selected staff members from the Technology Business Development Department (TBD), Manufacturing Services Department (MS), and Information, New Media and Protocol Unit (INP) of the Engineering Materials Development Institute (EMDI) paid a courtesy visit to the Technology Park and Incubation Center (TECH-PIC) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Led by Mr. G.A. Akinbobola, FCA (HOD, TBD), the team comprised Engr. Samuel Fatunde, Engr. Saburi Adigun, Mr. I.M. Eshiett, and Mr. O.K. Okusanya. They were warmly received by Engr. Prof. O.O. Olubanjo, frhd, fdee, fipmd, Director of TECH-PIC, at approximately 12:24 pm. Dr. Oluwaseun Adelaja, Assistant Director of TECH-PIC, introduced the TECH-PIC team.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY THE DIRECTOR OF TECH-PIC

Engr. Prof. O.O. Olubanjo, frhd, fdee, fipmd, welcomed the EMDI team and noted that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adenike Temidayo Oladiji, fas, BSc, MSc, PhD (Unilorin), would have loved to receive the team but was away on an official assignment.

REMARKS BY THE ACTING MANAGING DIRECTOR/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF EMDI

The Ag-MD/CE, Mrs. Fausat Olumide Yusuf, MNIM, MBA, ably represented by Mr. G.A. Akinbobola, FCA, Head of the Technology Business Development Department, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and stated that the purpose of the visit was to explore potential collaborative efforts between TECH-PIC and EMDI.

FACILITY TOUR

The team was escorted by Engr. Prof. O.O. Olubanjo, frhd, fdee, fipmd, Director of TECH-PIC, to the Mechanical Engineering Workshop and Agricultural Engineering Workshop at Oba-Nla and Oba-Kekere, respectively.

CLOSING AND DEPARTURE

The visit concluded with a group photograph at exactly 2:47 pm.
